A short and honest accounting of what this site stores in your browser, and what it does not.

The short version. This site sets no tracking cookies. The only thing it ever stores in your browser is your light-or-dark theme preference, in localStorage. That value never leaves your device.

What we store, and why

Local storage

When you click the theme toggle in the corner of any page, your browser saves a single entry under the key sessiznet:theme with the value "light" or "dark". We use that on the next visit so the page opens in your chosen theme without flashing the other one first.

This entry sits in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. It is read only by JavaScript running in your tab, and is never sent to our server.

Session and tracking cookies

This site sets none. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no fingerprinting script, no session replay, no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Third-party fonts

The site loads Bricolage Grotesque and JetBrains Mono from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser fetches these fonts, Google receives your IP address and the fact that you visited a page that uses these typefaces. Google does not place cookies through these requests, but the IP-address transmission alone is processing under European data-protection law.

If you would prefer to avoid this, browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or LocalCDN can intercept Google Fonts; the site will fall back to the system sans and monospaced fonts and remain readable.

Controlling what is stored

You can clear the theme preference at any time:

open your browser's developer tools, go to Application or Storage, find sessiznet.com under Local Storage, and delete sessiznet:theme;
or use your browser's privacy settings to clear site data for sessiznet.com.

The next time you load the site, your operating system's preference (light or dark) will decide which theme appears.

If we ever change this

If we add anything that would meaningfully change what this site stores in your browser (for example, an analytics tool that uses cookies), we will update this page and present a clear consent prompt before the new behaviour takes effect.
